South Singapore weather today
Sentosa is the island's resort — beaches, Universal Studios, the Oceanarium, cable car — and the Southern Ridges behind it are the best free walk in Singapore. Weather matters more here than anywhere: the beaches and the ridge have little cover.

Worth your time
- Sentosa beaches — Siloso for activity, Palawan for families, Tanjong for quiet; lifeguarded areas only.
- Universal Studios Singapore — Book ahead; rain closes outdoor rides but most queues are covered.
- Singapore Oceanarium — Air-conditioned and large — the natural wet-weather swap.
- Southern Ridges — Henderson Waves to Mount Faber: 10 km of ridge walks with the cable car at the end.
- HarbourFront & VivoCity — The gateway to Sentosa by monorail, cable car or a 10-minute walk on the boardwalk.
- St John's & Lazarus Islands — Ferry from Marina South Pier; bring everything, there are no shops.
Getting around
The Sentosa Express monorail from VivoCity is the cheapest way in; the cable car from Mount Faber is the scenic one. The ridge walk is exposed — check UV and the radar first.
Questions
Which Sentosa beach is best?
Palawan for calm water and families, Siloso for beach clubs and watersports, Tanjong for the fewest people. All face the shipping lane; none has surf.
Is Sentosa open in the rain?
Yes. Universal Studios pauses outdoor rides during lightning risk and reopens quickly; the Oceanarium and the malls at Resorts World are unaffected.
